Our Family
We are an extra-large family that grew in an unconventional manner. After years of infertility, we were finally able to become parents when newborn Anna was placed in our arms by a courageous birthmother through a domestic adoption. God then surprised us by making it possible to give birth to twins, our John and Alison, after being told by infertility specialists that we had a better chance of winning the lottery. Then about 14 years ago, the Lord began to nudge us that older children in orphanages in Russia needed homes. He added siblings -- Zhenya, Sarah and Matthew -- to our family through adoption in 2001. Then in 2005 He blessed us with three Russian sisters -- Christina, Faith and Hope. In 2010, we adopted a third trio of older Russian children -- Kirsten, Nathaniel (Kolya) and Eliana. Since that time, God has added two sons-in-law whom we adore and three glorious grandchildren. As a family we currently number 19. As we continue to grow, we're committed to living unto Him in all that we do!
