The kids and I went on a hike today on the grounds of the local nature center. Our kids love collecting snails at this particular park.
Today they introduced Alexander to this "sport."
They collected while I photographed.
However, we soon discovered there was a problem with stopping, whether it was for a photo or to collect snails...MOSQUITOES. A cool, wet May has made Iowa seem more like Minnesota. So we tried to keep moving...
...but sometimes a scaling a giant log was just too tempting!
Even in the middle of Oksana assisting her sister, she had to abandon the effort and we had to run--all the way out of the park!
Yep! We're noticing plenty of mosquitoes, too! Aaarghhh!

ReplyDeleteYour pictures remind me of the time Pray and Play went to a park and Anna got her boots stuck in a DEEP mud puddle. Then in the process of trying to get her boots out ended up falling in said mud puddle! One of my favorite memories from the UK!
