Doubled Joy!

Each New Year's our family REALLY celebrates. No, the change from one calendar year to the next doesn't set our hearts to dancing. The reason for the doubled joy is that on January 1 each year we're privileged to rejoice over God's gift of TWINS. This year John and Alison turned 24.

I love the look on John's face here. He and Alison became best friends before their births. They have been the most remarkable cheering section for each other. Their relationship is just what you would hope of twins. Since Alison married Eric, John and Eric have developed and invested in a close friendship. In addition, John is a favorite uncle of Eric and Alison's little guy, William. John is eagerly awaiting the birth of his twin's first daughter.

We were informed, after untold testing and medication, that I would NEVER get pregnant. As a result of that never, our joy at having TWINS is to the sun and back. Our gratitude to God for the miracle of John and Alison is limitless. The Lord has shown us great kindness.

She's Gonna Be a Big Sister!

Perfect little lips, right? Well, it won't be long before those lips will have a baby sister or brother to kiss! That's right, Jillian is going to be a big sis! Anna is pregnant with their fourth child. She's due in late July. This time Aaron and Anna have decided to wait on learning the baby's gender. So we're all eager for the big day to learn if Aaron and Anna will add a fourth daughter or their first son. When this fourth blessing is born, Brielle will have just turned 4, Evelyn will be almost 3 and this peanut will be about 13 months old. God has richly blessed their family...and these grandparents!

Such Cuteness!

Months have passed since I last posted, but a recent trip to see Anna's family has given me the perfect reason to begin again. I got the chance to take some pictures of Aaron and Anna's third little girl just after Jillian finished lunch one day.

Who could resist this smile?

I think this is peek-a-boo, seven-month-old style!

This sweet little girl started smiling real earnest smiles before she was even a week old, and she's been smiling ever since. Jillian is one happy baby and a true blessing to all. We're all thankful to God for such a loving gift.
