Check out the most recent post of our dear friends, Marcos and Jamie!
We met Jamie and Marcos in January 2010 when we went to Moscow with the Russian Orphan Lighthouse Project to meet the children who would become ours. As we fell in love with our threesome, their hearts were won over by a teenage boy. While we've had our kiddos home for six months, they've had to continue submitting complex paperwork due to the fact that Marcos was born in Brazil.
When we traveled to Russia in October to go to court, we had the opportunity to visit our children's orphanage and spend five incredibly precious hours there. While in that institution, the two of us were able to hug their son and take him a gift from his soon-to-be parents. As best we could in our very limited Russian, we tried to reassure him that Jamie and Marcos were working hard to come get him. This interaction with Dima just made our hearts ache that much more for their adoption to come to fruition.
We just visited Jamie and Marcos in May on our way home from our visit to Anna and Aaron's in Ohio. We're always so encouraged by their powerful faith, and they're so loving! They ooze joy. We know a teenager in Russia who's been waiting for a very, very long year-and-a-half who'll be so blessed to have Marcos and Jamie as his parents.
Praise be to the Father of the Fatherless!
