Tonight I was looking through photos we took last November when we went to Russia to bring home Daria, Nathaniel and Oksana. I was reminded of seeing this expansive billboard as we left the airport grounds in Moscow.
I understand so little Russian, but I was able to read these words commanding drivers, "Wash Your Car!"
I didn't grasp the small print at the bottom (perhaps because those words didn't have a corresponding picture?!?). Daria told me tonight that they say, "Clean automobile - Clean City." In a metropolis of 12 million, I guess I can understand the desire to get rid of some of the grime inherent to a lot of people living together.
