I'd Like to Kiss the Inventor!

Mrs. Beaver:

Does anyone know where I can find the inventor of Skype? I'd like to hug him! And I bet I'm not the only mom who feels that way. What a blessing Skype is to parents who are separated by miles or even oceans from their children--and grandchildren!

Our first granddaughter, Brielle, was born far, far away in Ohio on Wednesday. Although the distance makes our hearts ache a bit, we've been able to see the precious bundle and her parents via Skype the past two evenings. What a joy!

Last night Anna and her little one were larger than life on the television in the basement. (Aaron was running an errand.)

We all enjoyed watching the two of them interact.

In addition, when Anna shared with us that Brielle was struggling to learn to drink her mama's milk, the whole group prayed in turn right then and there for God to intervene in that important detail. Brielle's pediatrician was concerned about the baby's percentage of weight loss.

This morning Anna called with the news that Brielle's late night feeding and early morning feedings had gone much better.

So, if you happen to run into the inventor of Skype, warn him that there's is a very petite, graying grandmother looking for him who wants to give him a big ol' hug!

Thx, Jason! BTW, LOVED your photo of a camera taking a picture of a beautiful sunset. Excellent creativity that drew attention to the glory of God! Well Done!

Skype...what a wonderful thing!!
Makes you all feel like your there, w/o "bombarding"the new mommy. ;)
Glad to hear that nursing is improving...it sometimes takes awhile for both parties to catch on (at least from my limited experience;) Samuel was 6.7 and he lost 7 oz...the nurse was so concerned that she had me formula feed him for a few feedings. Later, I found out that it's perfectly normal for breastfed infants to loose some weight, esp if the milk isn't in yet.Anyhoo...I'm glad things are going well. Ahh...new babies--wonderful!! :) Congratulations to all the Aunties and Uncles and Grandma and Grandpa!! ~love, megan, for all the Goffs~
