Wedding Worry

Evelyn Rose at  8-1/2 months

This weekend we met the families of our oldest daughters, Anna and Alison, in Pennsylvania for a wedding. Both girls served as bridesmaids.

This mini-reunion meant we got to see our much-changed granddaughters for the first time since February. Here Grandpa and I have just dressed Evelyn for the ceremony. She's looking a little wary of these near-strangers caring for her in a strange place in the midst of the chaos that is part of every wedding. Soon this baby will change developmentally and begin to recognize and trust the two of us readily. Unlike Evelyn, her 23-old-month sister, Brielle, was quite excited to see her Iowa grandparents.

We praise God for the gift of grandchildren!
